The Aorta Range
The Aorta Range is Steel Build’s collection of products developed with sustainability, innovation, and social value at their core
Sustainability at the core
The Aorta Range supports reduced environmental impact through considered design, responsible sourcing, and efficient production methods.
Our approach includes:
- Use of durable materials such as galvanised steel and PPC aluminium
- Off-site fabrication to reduce waste and improve quality control
- Tree planting in partnership with Tree Nation for qualifying products
- Continuous review of lower-carbon material options
Through these measures, we aim to support clients working toward more sustainable project outcomes.
Key Products in the Aorta Range
- Balcony Bella: A flagship innovation, Balcony Bella combines strength, elegance, and sustainability. For every support arm installed, a tree is planted – directly linking product use to environmental restoration.
- Energy-Efficient Solutions: Our off-site modular systems and modern methods of construction (MMC) allow for quicker, cleaner installations with significantly reduced waste and emissions.
Supporting social value
The Aorta Range is structured to contribute measurable social value alongside technical performance.
Product delivery supports:
- Investment into local community initiatives
- Funding toward Steel Build’s training and skills development programmes
- Workforce development through accredited in-house training
This ensures that project spend contributes to both built environment performance and wider community benefit.
Steel Build Training School
In response to industry skills shortages, Steel Build established its own accredited training capability.
We have:
- Become an approved ProQual NVQ centre
- Developed structured competency and assessment pathways
- Qualified internal assessors across workshop and site disciplines
This allows us to maintain direct oversight of workforce competence, supporting safer delivery and consistent quality standards across our projects.
Green steel commitment
Steel production is traditionally carbon intensive. Steel Build is actively monitoring and, where viable, adopting lower-carbon steel supply options, including Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) produced steel derived from recycled material.
This supports:
- Reduced embodied carbon
- Increased use of recycled steel
- Alignment with the construction sector’s decarbonisation direction
